With over 30 years of experience as a designer, I have shared my time between industry, education and community engagement promoting the importance of the design as a process and not just an outcome.

I am passionate about the value of the design and how it can connect community, education and industry through creative collaboration practices using human centred design and design thinking to drive the outcome.

In 1989 together with my wife Marietta we established Haynes Design, providing design services to a varied and ongoing clientele from Non-Profit and Government Organisations, Tourism, Wine, Manufacturing, Fresh Produce Exporters, Dairy Industry, Transport Logistics, Health, Sport and Retail businesses.

Awarded the ‘Make a Difference Award’ 
Feelix Library Project - Vision Australia.

Received recognition from Vision Australia for initiating a design project with Sunraysia Institute of TAFE Diploma of Graphic Design students, creating tactile children’s storybooks donated to the Feelix Library.

The project provided students with invaluable knowledge and an understanding that all design needs to be relevant and is not always visual.

Awarded the inaugural Sunraysia Institute of TAFE Teacher of the Year and State Finalist for Skills Victoria TAFE Teacher of Year.
